Meet The Founder

NELLY ALENCAR REATEGUI, founder and president of IMAG USA LLC, is a Clinical Psychologist with a postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology from Peru. She brings 45 years of professional experience in studying and researching higher brain functions related to attention, concentration, and memory in school-age children and adults.

Her interest in this project stems from her personal experiences, particularly during this stage of her life as a senior adult, when it's common to forget specific objectives, such as going to the kitchen and not remembering what you intended to retrieve. These "memory lapses" led her to explore alternatives for addressing such issues.

From these experiences, she developed the Interactive Games for Memory, Attention, and Concentration, designed using 12 cards that contain identical elements with subtle details added, removed, or placed in opposite or different positions. These cards allow users to establish matches with another set of 12 cards sharing the same features. The activity is to be completed within an allotted time of 60 to 90 seconds for the initial trial.

While developing the project, she began practicing with the cards and discovered that her higher cognitive functions were being activated. This improvement enhanced her perception, attention, concentration, and memory, transforming the activity into a mental exercise. Not only did it stimulate her mind, but it also helped her manage emotional states such as stress, anxiety, and feelings, while serving as an excellent means of socializing with family and friends. The games allow simultaneous participation of two or three players or group play.

The positive changes she observed in herself and her social circle motivated her commitment to creating accessible and engaging tools for activating and strengthening cognitive functions, leading to the innovative mental exercise games by IMAG.

Under Nelly's leadership, IMAG continues to inspire countless individuals to strengthen their minds and achieve deeper focus and clarity through scientifically-backed, entertaining, and recreational activities.

"Playing is essential not only for being happy but also for maintaining social relationships and being a creative and innovative person."
